"We are excited to partner with Aruba for the Las Rageous Festival at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, said Jeff Victor, Vice President of Operations for DLVEC."

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – April 21, 2017 – Aruba, a Hewlett-Packard Enterprise company, today announced that The D’s Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC), an outdoor entertainment venue in downtown Las Vegas that hosts clubs, festivals, concerts and sporting events, has deployed a new Aruba network to bring free Wi-Fi to thousands of fans and support its wide range of vendors and businesses.

Owned by The D Hotel and Casino on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, DLVEC hosts entertainers from musicians to comedians to world-class fighters outdoors, in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. This Friday and Saturday, April 21-22, 2017, DLVEC will be the site of Las Rageous, a two-day rock concert, during which the new network will go live for the first time.

The D’s goal is to bring reliable, high-performing Wi-Fi to the thousands of fans who attend DLVEC events, the vendors including food trucks, concessionaries and more who will rely on the Wi-Fi for fast transactions and sales, and to DLVEC’s own marketing team who will use the network for social media and other marketing promotions.

To accomplish this, The D’s IT Team worked with local technology partner EVOTEK, to install Aruba 300 Series indoor and outdoor Access Points, Aruba AirWave for network management, and the Aruba Analytics Location Engine (ALE). ALE is used in concert with Aruba’s spotlight ecosystem partner Skyfii, to provide DLVEC with a powerful analytics solution to visualize behavior and deliver targeted advertisements. With Skyfii and Aruba solutions, DLVEC can gather intelligent insights to better understand visitor behavior so they can customize and increase the success rate of target advertising and marketing promotions.

"We are excited to partner with Aruba for the Las Rageous Festival at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, said Jeff Victor, Vice President of Operations for DLVEC. “Las Vegas is known for its entertainment, so it's essential that landmark events like this are supported by strong, reliable wireless and mobile services. We are happy to have found that trust in Aruba, which helps us bring high-production events to the streets of Downtown Las Vegas."
